History tells us of a pact forged between the royal family of Irestill and True Dragon Deirdre, overseer of Irestill's monsters. With the passage of time, the pact is forgotten. King Connor orders Naoise, a knight of the kingdom, to put an end to Deirdre. But without Deirdre to maintain order, the monsters rampage over the island and the kingdom of Irestill falls into ruin.

Naoise, racked by guilt that the destruction of his homeland is his fault, goes on a pilgrimage where he encounters our heroes. The time has come for Naoise to take up the banner once more and face his demons. He returns to Irestill, but this time with new friends and allies. Meanwhile, the royal siblings Heles and Seruel attempt to resurrect Deirdre.
